Sending a living gift

Can I send a terrarium as a gift?

Yes. Our DIY kits and our Mossariums can be sent as gifts and posted Australia-wide: you choose a piece, add a free card with your own words, and enter the recipient's delivery address. We pack it in Surry Hills in a box wrapped in very good paper and post it straight to them, not to you. The gifts page carries the pieces we can send as gifts directly. Larger made-to-order terrariums are too large and delicate to post safely, so those are arranged with you directly as well.

Can I send a Mossarium in a different finish as a gift?

Mossariums are made in a range of finishes across cork, oak, marble and concrete, and not every one of them can be sent as a gift straight from the gifts page. If the finish you want is not one of the ones shown there, get in touch before you order and we will set it up for you.

Can I include a personal message with a gift?

Yes. A card is included at no extra cost. You write your message in the gift window before you pay, up to 255 characters, and we write it in and include it in the box. You also enter the recipient's address at checkout, so the gift goes directly to their door.

Are terrariums a good gift?

Terrariums make a calm, living gift that lasts far longer than flowers and needs very little care. They suit desks, shelves and bedsides, and each one is handmade, so it feels considered. Our DIY kits are a good choice for someone who would enjoy making one themselves.

Do you deliver gifts across Australia?

Yes. Our Mossariums and DIY kits are posted as gifts across Australia, with the exception of Tasmania, Western Australia and the Northern Territory, which are excluded because of live-plant and soil quarantine rules. We ship within Australia only and cannot post overseas. Larger made-to-order terrariums are arranged individually when you get in touch, as they are too large and delicate to post safely.
